Coverage Details

How workmanship coverage generally works.

What is generally covered

  • A defect in installation or workmanship directly attributable to WMC labour within the written scope.
  • Reasonable inspection of the reported issue after WMC receives the warranty request and supporting details.
  • Repair, re-performance, or another reasonable correction selected by WMC for a confirmed covered defect, including necessary labour and materials at no charge.
  • Related finishing reasonably necessary to complete the covered correction within the same affected area.

What is generally excluded

These exclusions apply only to the extent the excluded cause, rather than covered WMC workmanship, caused the issue. Weather alone does not exclude faulty installation.

  • Manufacturer or product defects, recalls, and material performance failures outside WMC labour.
  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic aging, colour fade, and ordinary maintenance items.
  • Storms, hail, wind, flood, fire, impact damage, vandalism, abuse, or accidental damage.
  • Movement, settlement, shrinkage, hidden pre-existing conditions, design issues, or work by others.
  • Moisture, leaks, or damage caused by unrelated assemblies or failures outside the WMC project scope.

Important warranty conditions

  • Coverage begins on the agreed Warranty Start Date. If no date is recorded, it begins when the work is substantially complete and reasonably usable for its intended purpose, as established by project records.
  • Coverage applies only to labour and workmanship supplied by WMC within the signed project scope.
  • Missing dates or closeout signatures do not by themselves void warranty coverage.
  • Give WMC a reasonable opportunity to inspect before permanent third-party repairs, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect people or property.

Material warranties remain separate

  • Manufacturer warranties on shingles, siding products, windows, doors, sealants, hardware, and other materials remain separate from WMC workmanship coverage.
  • A product defect does not automatically mean there is a workmanship defect.
  • Where a manufacturer warranty exists, claim support may require model information, invoice records, or photographs.
  • Unless WMC accepts a registration obligation in writing, the customer remains responsible for owner-side product registration or activation steps.
Additional Warranty Conditions

Important limits, temporary repair notes, and related WMC records.

The signed project documents address notice, inspection access, temporary repair boundaries, and supporting project records.

Additional conditions

  • Warranty requests should be provided in writing promptly after discovery, with the client name, property address, project reference, issue details, and photos where available.
  • The customer should provide safe, reasonable access and take reasonable steps to prevent further damage. Delayed notice or access does not automatically void coverage, but WMC is not responsible for avoidable additional damage caused by that delay.
  • Accepted corrective work is limited to the warranted deficiency and does not restart the original warranty unless WMC states otherwise in writing.
  • Transfer is not automatic and requires WMC approval in writing. An approved transfer retains the original warranty end date.

Emergency / temporary repair work

  • Emergency, temporary, patch, and limited repair services are confined to the exact area and work described in the written project record.
  • Unless project documents state otherwise, these services follow the 90-day limited repair / service-call period.
  • Temporary mitigation does not guarantee that an underlying cause has been permanently eliminated; further repair or investigation may still be required.

Related WMC project records

  • Schedule W - Workmanship Warranty Terms
  • Schedule E - Emergency / Temporary Repair Limited Warranty Addendum, when applicable
  • Project Completion & Warranty Start Acknowledgment
  • Manufacturer Warranty & Product Handover Acknowledgment

Legal rights preserved

Nothing in the warranty guide limits rights or protections that cannot legally be waived or restricted.

Request Warranty Service

How to submit a warranty request.

The process below helps WMC review a workmanship concern quickly and keeps the file organized for inspection and follow-up.

1. Notify WMC promptly

Email info@wmcltd.tech promptly after discovering the concern. Describe when it first appeared and any urgent risks.

2. Provide project details

Include the client name, property address, approximate completion date, invoice or contract reference if available, a short description of the concern, and clear photos or videos.

3. Allow inspection and review

Allow safe, reasonable inspection before permanent third-party repairs, except for immediate action reasonably necessary to protect people or property.

4. Schedule covered corrective work

If the issue is confirmed as a covered workmanship defect, WMC will arrange the corrective work within a reasonable timeframe based on weather, access, material availability, and urgency.

Warranty request checklist

  • Property address and contact information
  • Invoice, quote, or project reference if available
  • Photos of the issue and surrounding area
  • Brief description of when the issue was first noticed
  • Any urgent conditions that may require temporary mitigation
